Ambassadors
Habits of Mind Ambassadors are knowledgeable about the HOM through research training, reading and personal experience and/or who have participated in foundational training, have read the basic text books, and have an expressed willingness to help “spread the word” to other interested individuals and agencies. Ambassadors become part of the IHOM network exchanging ideas, sharing interests, testing materials, arranging school visits and participating in Institute activities.
The Ambassadors’ role is to respond to inquiries from interested parties as to the role, effects, benefits, and advantages of implementing the HOM. Ambassadors suggest resources for further investigation, identify “Mindful Schools,” and recommend exemplary schools for visitation.
